The truth is that I did not have any particular inspiration to start this furniture business. I. knew I would always produce something. I just have known that as a nation we must produce.

I turned a hobby into a small business and looking back I think it was the positive reinforcement from family friends and customers that sort of encouraged me. My production was meeting my basic financial needs. Finally the jobs kept rolling in. With the above 3 things I decided to apply myself and decided I will take all necessary steps to be good at what I was doing. I then adopted the moto that if it wasn't good enough for me it wasn't good for anyone.

The industry in itself to date just has a bad reputation.

A. Delivery time was never kept.

B. Accuracy of execution was lacking.

C. Overall integrity and professionalism

I decided to make these my corner stones and the rest is history as they say. So there really isn't any fancy inspiration story to tell.

The business challenges like I said on video remains HR especially for artisans. Then securing raw materials everything is imported and this does not have to be so. The general dwelling economy and the punitive erratic and continuous changing government policies.

The ingrained corruption.

I wish I had kept a diary of this over the years. So the challenges continue.  My main future plans are to

A. Provide for my core staff long after me especially those who have spent 10 to 20 years with us.  Their loyalty and trust and prayers for the company keeps me humbled and grateful.

B. To follow a friends advice and plan for succession if only to keep employment going as I face the reality of age and I will like to have some time off, to work only when I feel like and contribute by teaching rather than running the day to day operations.

C. To continue to get better at what we do.
