Tobi an English LIT & French Major

I’m Nigerian, in my early twenties, and I minister in song for the Lord.

My most preferred genres of music include; jazz, soul and pop.

For me singing started right from a really young age. I’ve been screaming the house down for years, it’s like a background sound for my mum, sister and Aunty now. An old Doctor who lived on our street used to call me “choir master”. The first time it actually clicked for me that my voice was amazing as people have termed it, was when I sang in church many years ago and this woman was broken in tears.

Fast forward from that period to 4 years ago and I a decided to actually take music serious. Right now, I’m very BIG on background Vocals, albeit i am an excellent lead vocalist as well.

Most of the work I’ve done has been BGV. I do tenor and alto comfortably and soprano with a powerful falsetto mix. I also direct a few choirs and played a major role in my choir back in Uni. I’ve performed to audiences of 3000 people and over.

Music is my life, really. It’s my escape from everything. Being able to sing for Christ is like the icing on the cake. Yes, I’m a huge Jesus boy.

I plan on releasing my own music in the year 2018. Lots of people say that’s so far away. I agree with that but I love perfection and I won’t settle for any less, so I’m giving myself ample time because my plans are massive! Be expectant. Wanna reach me?
